Have u ever tried Windows 7 build 7000 beta? I just found that link inorder to show u that DirectX 11 has already been implemented in Windows 7. I very well know that SDK links and 9.0c links are given on the site. But do u get the point? DirectX 11 is already given away with Windows 7.

A word of advice, please take some pain to understand what one type instead of blurting out something, with the sole intention of increasing the post count. Please. I know i am in no authority to state such things, but please refrain from posting in SMS lingo as i find majority of your posts in SMS format.

    Sorry mods/admin

what everyone wants is the working version of Direct X 11 Runtime.......when SDK version is out people wont take any interest in this version coz this version is only for software developers only.........so we can say people only wait for Runtime version........

 I am neither extra advanced or advanced. Advanced by age perhaps. On your introduction thread you said you are going to join Infosys. So you are joining the corporate world soon. I will advice you to desist from SMS language. It is simply not tolerated in such companies on official communications.

I had found that some people in my company started use of such words and I had to tick them off proper.

You are advanced by age, knowledge, post counts, rep power, number of friends and many more.

I really appreciate your advice and will definitely try to change my habit. This surely will take some time. Actually these habits came from chatting on yahoo/google rather than from forums and SMSs.

The thought of joining Infosys brings lots of tension to me everytime (will discuss it later).

I always wished that i could talk to someone like you over these issues. I really want to learn/know/gain knowledge about lot of things from you in person. Not at all faking or being sarcastic here.

Sorry for all the troubles with me so far over those PMs. :thumbup1:

It really took me some time and lot of correction to type this post.

I've been waiting for quite some time for DX11. Microsoft personel talked about it in msdn since Vista was released. They were probably working on it for a long time. I downloaded the 6933 release of Windows 7 from a p2p site on december 2008 but did not find DX11 there. Clearly it was some version of DX10. I deleted that version, so cant try it now.

Hi guys i found this online. can u plz explain to me what it means :

Along with the pipeline changes, we see a whole host of new tweaks and adjustments. DirectX 11 is actually a strict superset of DirectX 10.1, meaning that all of those features are completely encapsulated in and unchanged by DirectX 11. This simple fact means that all DX11 hardware will include the changes required to be DX 10.1 compliant (which only AMD can claim at the moment). In addition to these tweaks, we also see these further extensions.

Does that mean DX10.1 and DX11 have the same hardware requirements ?

I think DX11 should feature Pixel Shader 5.0
    Dx10.1 is Pixel Shader 4.1
    Dx10 is Pixel Shader 4.0
    Dx9c.1 is Pixel Shader 3.0

A pixel shader computes color lighting value, bump mapping, shadows and other attributes of each pixel.

The following link should clear your doubts :-
