Default WINDOWS XP SP3 -post updates

    Hi ppl......!!!!!!

u might find it rather funny problem though, yet if anyone can help

1.I have original WINXPSP2 cd +SP3 final cd,
then i made a WINXPSP3 cd using nLite (small bit piracy!hope GATES forgive me)
2.After installing this Custom-made Winxpsp3 in my machine,i am able to update my Windows using Automatic updates.
But as I format my machine twice in a month,i always loose those heavy update files+security patches downloaded files.
Do u guys know where can i find the image files containing all the original updates and security patches released by Microsoft after SP3 (WINDOWS XP SP3 x86 version) that i can download and make another custom cd with all updates?
please dont tell about RYAN VM'S post update packs...
    THNX IN ADVANCE.

Since u are into nlite and stuff u can try Windows Updates Downloader (WUD)

U will be able to download all the updates ever released for Windows XP

Another method is like this :

after u install fresh XP , goto windows update and note down the names EG KBxxxxxx,KBxxxxyyxx.

Then go to Microsoft.com's download center.

Search for KBxxxxx, u will get a list of links for various windows versions , check the link of XP(in case of multiple links , compare size from windows update)

Next u can download files and integrate them into ur installation.

    ADVANTAGE :

Since WU lists only the updates suitable/necessary for ur computer u have a smaller size to d/l and install...

U speaking about the original WU or about the software which i had posted? Because the link which i had posted downloads all the fixes ever released by Microsoft since the inception of Win XP. These can be integrated into an existing OS by nlite and a bootable cd can be created

I was telling about Windows Update , not the software.

Your method is very useful for corporates dealing with different systems/devices coz config and s/w vary a lot.

But for a home user that won't be necessary coz we use same software/hardware and hence the windows update mentions only those patches which are necessary not all the patches released.

So all in all we can have a lower overhead for downloading as well as installation

WU as well Autopatcher are good alternatives to this method which Download all available updates for your system.

Ofc using autopatcher u cannot automatically integrate the update files..

After visiting the site, u need to download the main program from Windows Updates Downloader (WUD) Program Files

Then u need to download the Update lists (UL) for the desired operating system from Windows Updates Downloader (WUD) Update Files (ULs)

Load the UL file downloaded using the main program downloaded earlier. The rest is self explanatory..

Windows stores downloaded updates in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ folder

You could back this up ... you wont need to download the updates each time ...
