Hi,
I have a few important Excel worksheet(*.xls) which i have written long time ago. as they were important, I password protected them.

Now, i have forgotten the password, Please help with recovery

i would be glad to help you on this but i am not sure whether to post any links regarding this here. i would like some moderator to permit - i will post some links then. imo, these are not illegal tools or processes. i am not sure though

the first link you provided doesnt works .. "file:///J:/Super%20Commando%20Dhruv.rar" this is the source path being shown ...

yaar that day when i posted these links they are working.......and it was showing link to a file super commando dhruv.......and i have uploaded this file in last 4-5 days...........

you tried all the tools i mentioned in a previous post on this thread? i provided 4 links for you ...

Do such utilities work for real? I have seen some people using 16 digit passwords, can such softwares crack those passwords? it would take months before all the brute-forcing techniques are applied on the file. Or do these software work differently?

long time back(3-4 years) i met a software which recovered me a password in just instant click....thats why i believe on those softwares.....but when my HDD crashed i lost that software.....and now i wont remember the name......i'm also still looking for it.........

My guess is all such softwares use brute-forcing to unlock the passwords. And that procedure takes sometime. Please keep the thread updated with the software mentioned @amit.

ya they take brute force and dictionary methods...........and they wont take sometime, they take very long time.............but that saftware did that work in a eye blink.....that was for a rar file.........

try using Advanced Office Password Recovery 4.11

Any free utilities to do the same? Or are all such utilities paid only?
