Question Connecting to Multiple Wireless Connection

    Hi there

I am using a Dlink D300 Router for my residential purpose, my neighbour is also using a wireless router so will i be able to connect to both the network at the same time without any sacrifice in my own network speed.

    Advance thanks for the reply!

If he has enabled encryption in his router or some form of MAC filtering, then u will not be able to connect with his network. Does your neighbor know of this, or are u trying to piggyback on his connection?

First of all, what you are trying to do is illegal. We do not permit such discussions here.

But if you connect to some other wireless network, your previous wireless network goes offline. Imagine a wired network. This is like pulling the cable from one router and plugging in another.

Please checkout the previous post (Connecting to Multiple Wireless Connection) the answer lies in that post itself.

Else u can be more practical and pay the neighbor a friendly visit to checkout whether the card is capable of connecting simultaneously to both the networks
