Default Dectect fault drivers in Win Xp??

    Hi there again,

I recently brought 1GB RAM, and when i install/put it at RAM slot and run, PC reboots automatically withing 2 mins of OS start.

Can you guys say what to do now?? or how do i disable some fault drivers so that it will work??

Please help me to troubleshoot it.

    Thanks-in-advance

please remove that RAM from motherboard and then check if you are facing the same problem or not and if you are not facing the same issue then please get the RAM slot replaced coz any RAM can not work with any motherboard. Please provider more details here for resolution.

It maybe that there may be some part in your tower which slighty moved out of place, or the RAM may not have been installed properly.

Check these two things out and then try starting your computer.

Also try out what smoothvibes has mentioned, that way you will know if its something wrong with your computer or the RAM itself.

please remove your old ram & install only the new ram and see if it works properly...! if it does then make sure that both MHZ are same.... and see if its DDR1, DDR2, DDR3 as i have board of Intel which has 2 slots for DDR1 & 2 for DDR2 so check those also...

    post your result after trying...!
