Thread: VNC, How to choose

I am planning to use a vnc. I have downloaded one named real vnc. is it safe. What are the precautions for installing vnc. Pls help.

Well, if you didn't read the FAQ on its site then, i suggest you to read it.

* Change default VNC port and use some unused port
* Shutdown VNC service when not in use
* Keep strong password as password attack tools are available for VNC

I suggest you to try for Remote Desktop Connection if possible
