Default A better paint

Hi,

When I use paint, to post screen shot, there is a considerable loss of quality. Please suggest a better software, that the quality of the image is preserved.

I use XP ,

Onenote too can capture the screen shot. But it is the quality of the shot after editing. Paint undermines the quality.
