Thread: DX 10 for XP

well i found in google that some one developed DX 10 for XP (though its in alpha version), well my GX card supports it, but the thing which i wanna know is that, is it safe to use it?? while searching i found mixed results about it, so just need a suggestion from u guys.

You may experience issues with very few games. The thing here is that it varies from system to system
What I know for sure is that It certainly WON'T make your pc crash. It's completely safe to use just follow the instructions/precautions/mentioned from the author.

did u used it?? if yes then wats ur experience

probably someone made some tweaks to dx 9 and named it dx 10. dont consider this as dx10

^ Nope there was a plan to release dx10 for xp which Microsoft later shelved ..... thats y there is only an alpha and no beta or release client

dx10 on xp would be slow regardless of your hardware ..... dont go in for dx10 in xp , absolutely useless

I myself don't have any dx10 games but the gaming arcade in my city has dx10 games running on XP SP3 with 3GB ram, Dual-SLi Graphics, 16000rpm HDD's. Given the specs there is some lag but while playing you cannot notice it.

can u pls tell me which dx10 games you are talking about ?

16k rpm HDD will be crazzy expensive. Dual graphics. wat is this place!!
