It may not be easy to clear this error.
try
(1) System Restore to an earlier date , if available.

(2) wait...........
see this link.
http://www.indiabroadband.net/window...v1-1-33-a.html (Process Explorer v1.1.33)

(3)When the error appears press CTRL/ALT/DEL
see which program/s are not responding.
From Add/remove program/s delete them one by one

(4) if possible download ccleaner from filehippo.com
and use it.

(5) Any new application or program , you installed recently ?

6. Start RUN type sfc /scannow
Keep XP OS CD ready.
This will check up the original files.
May take up up to an hour.

7. More on feedback.

Even if we update our PC with Microsoft and Antivirus updates, some malware can still hide themselves.

Trying system restore to an older point will be a good idea.

Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig/all, please post the screen shot.

If you are having any problem, simply reenter the old values.

Try CA Yahoo Antispy and run a scan.

Also try this

Keep your PC safe

Only for Genuine Windows

This is an antispy from Microsoft.

Default Should work.....

I exactly don't know what causes this but it has happened to me for a while
you can do the following:

1. Goto Network Connections>right-click Local Area Network>Properties>uncheck all protocols except TCP/IP

2. Click apply and restart you computer.

3. Run the Disk Cleanup utility (start menu>run; in the address field type cleanmgr) and perform a disk cleanup.

Also remember that Windows is most vulnerable operating system so use a reliable all-in-one security suite. Really I have tested that without a Security solution a WindowsPC can add up 250 different infections in 53.4 secs.
Also no matter what free Av apps aren't effective.
