Thread: Activate wondows

Hi Folks

I have a problem activating windows... Whenever i do and try to dial through modem, they say the service is unable.. When I contact through telephone by the toll free number starting with 1600.... there is no response.. Is there any other number?

Is there any way i can activate windows?

DO let me know if i can do it without going online...

i have some problems.. i have referred to the previous post.. but i would like to
post some q's

1) Whenever i try to activate online there are 2 options, either dial thr modem or use some other connection.. whenever i try to dial thru modem they say the service is temporary unavailable and redial.. but to no effect.. the other option says u r not cnnected to net and is also not useful

2) i tried dialing the toll free number startig with 1600... but to no avail... here were other numbers too...

I would prefer online activation but somehow its not getting done..

Have you downloaded WGA tool ?
Also try to download an update from a Microsoft site.

I have downloaded wga tool... The problem is that microsoft sites are not accessible from PC... I downloaded wga tool from my laptop and transferred it to PC.. However, no update is accessible on PC....

Further, as you said the procedure for activating the Windows, I am faced with same problem...

These options come after you chose to activate bu going to internet... whenever i try to dial thru modem they say the service is temporary unavailable and there is an option to redial.. but to no effect.. the other option, i.e. dial thru dsl or LAN.. is selected, than the message comes as u r not cnnected to net..

2) Whenever i tried contacting the person on 1600111100, it continosly comes engaged...

The Toll free No you are dialing is Wrong.

yEH u r right.. thanx a lot...The Windows is activated...


Also, 1 more thing that i want to ask is that although windows is activated, the wga tool that I have downloaded comes when i start my PC and says its not activated ...However, after 5 minutes the logo on bottom right hand side disappears.... Should i do something....

validate your xp again ..... it should disappear
