I have formatted my system more than once and used the same CD to reinstall. If your CD is original, you need to activate it, thats all. Also you can run two XP on the same system with same or different CD.

yes you can do it, you can use the same CD to install for more than one time but just remember to activate it.

I think i made a mistake... I wanted to format C drive but instead of formatting I clicked on repair....

I will be able to explain u better with the link

Windows XP Home reinstall from CD

In that installing Windows, When there are regional and language options(Now your regional and language options. Your mouse should now be active, so click on "CUSTOMIZE".), the installing starts but from that point it starts installing again and the final installation doesn't end... When i restarted the computer, it shows some FAT 32 and than there is C drive check and the installation process starts again...

repeat the procedure again by first formatting the entire C drive.

I cant restart the formatting.. Whenever the installation starts, it starts with regional settings. Is there any problem with XP Installation CD?

I think your PC booting the HDD not DVD/CD Rom.
What is your 1st boot device in BIOS ?
For installation of XP mention your 1st boot device as CD/DVD ROM
Then insert the XP CD and and format the C: drive and after this process automatically copy will be start when it finished then next time don't boot CD -ROM again then HDD will be boot (but don't eject the XP-CD).
(Please mention little more what is your exact problem ?)
