Rep Power: 5 | To run dll files you need exe files which in this case is SVCHOST.exe. Whenever a service is run a SVCHOST.exe will run. Terminate unnecessary services. |

Rep Power: 10 | Svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) in Windows Operating System. The Svchost.exe file is located in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder. At startup, Svchost.exe checks the services part of the registry to construct a list of services that it must load. Multiple instances of Svchost.exe can run at the same time. Each Svchost.exe session can contain a grouping of services. Therefore, separate services can run, depending on how and where Svchost.exe is started. This grouping of services allows for better control and easier debugging for Windows. Because it is a common system process, malware often uses a process name of svchost.exe to disguise itself. You can run a good antivirus scan to determine if the System is infected. As far as I understand from the image you have provided, there is nothing to worry about. Leave the svchost.exe processes running because they are required for the normal functioning of the Windows. |

| Install AnVir Task Manager Free. It will show you the unnecessary services and resources consumption. Delete the one which you do not like. It is easy as description is given. |

Rep Power: 1 | What you and EVERY SINGLE windows user needs is a small and nifty life saving utility called Prio. Gives you the sorely missed abilities in Windows Task Manager, like services and process descriptions. Check it out! Talking about svchost.exe You can do these things If you don't use a camera or likes turn off WIA service, BITS, AUto Update, etc they'll decrease a few svchosts. 6 or 7 is common enough! |
