Thread: utorrent not working in Windows 7. Please help

My XP got corrupted. Installed utorrent 1.8.3 in Windows 7. Instead of download it stay red instead of blue which indicates downloading. Zero percent of the file is available. I tried another torrent to get the same result. Both torrents have enough seeds. Please help

May be the problem here is with the OS.

utorrent may not work best for WIndows 7.See if any fresh v4ersion of utorrent is available for download...

utorrent works fine in win7 for me.Was it working before or it never worked in windows 7?

if it was working before then try system restore!

I just installed it in Windows 7. Everything is ok but it is not downloading. Instead of showing the blue icon, there is a red icon and availability is zero. It has enough seeders.

UTorrent works fine in Win 7. Check whether there is any configuration problem, try the trackers tab, and see whether the torrents are actually connected to trackers. In the peers tab, check whether some peers are connected, if they are, is there some peer who has 100% of the file. I am using utorrent in windows 7 for quite some time now!

At times, it does not get connected to the seeds. No idea why. Thanks for the tips.

utorrent went alright. Seems like a tracker problem. Still to try Vuze.
