Multics operating system was being used in 1960s and Window is still connected with it. Microsoft is doing lot of Research & Development work on Windows. With Window 7 Microsoft has tried to prove that Windows is still alive & most popular. Non Window Midori operating system appears to be on the path of intersecting that of Windows in future. Microsoft is already well into making Window 7 and they also have plan for Window 8. They are working hard to revolutionize the way applications are developed and deployed on Windows to meet the requirements of users. Windows Application Platform is being strengthened by Microsoft continuously for the ever changing demands of users. With multiple releases of Windows over so many years, it is evident that Windows is likely to survive Midori.
