Windows 95
Windows 98
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Earlier Version
Later Version
hey... been usin 7 but i keep XP too, XP was one hell of an OS. And looks dont necessarily count.. do they..? u just need to have an OS, you can customize the way you like, and i guess in the windows series therez only one such operating system![]()
I'm currently using XP but I do have a Vista computer and do have CDs for both Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 ultimate so I could upgrade whenever I feel like it but I haven't used XP full time for a long time and I miss it so I'm using it full time for a little while until I get bored then I'll upgrade back. haha
Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate !
i use windows xp
struck with vista as there are not supporting drivers for xp. don't want to waste my money again on 7.
Its good that Microsoft Windows 7 is doing well and trying to get what Microsoft lost with Vista.....but i still prefer Windows XP. It was the most stable and user friendly version of Microsoft.
From my experience Ubuntu [GNOME/KDE] was way more user friendly than Windows 7. And you can always remove any unneeded application from Ubuntu and customize the way you like.
Even after installing Windows 7 I had to use 3rd party software (like codec packs, media player) instead of built in ones, to make it work the way I want.
Third party installments are the worst features of the later Windows versions...
Yes XP was good but not best. it used to have driver issues. system files deleted/ corrupted due to errors in 3rd party applications and many more.
However, windows 7 is 10 times better than XP in terms of speed and security.
Yes. It has a reason. MS cant bundle all the codec packs in OS. Even they have removed IE from OS pack as many other software vendors filed a case against MS cauz they are loosing their market share. Hope you know about this famous case which was lost by MS and hence now all the future OS will not have IE bundled in it. One has to download and install.

guys i changed somewhat.now i use-
Windows 7 and XP(Dual Boot)![]()
All c2d are 64 bit & in fact pentium 4 ht is also a 64 bit arch. All pentium d also. All intel dual core also. Some new atom processor also. Some celeron also.
Windows Xp vs Vista vs 7
Here winner is windows XP but it is more of a performance benchmarks only.

Here winner is Windows 7.
Vista I think was a alpha of windows 7 for which people were asked to pay. (Both have same kernels).
So former is losing in benchmarks out there.

Hi!
Ya i know W7 is great!
but drivers should be available on ur modem's manufacturer's site!or try some googling!
And i suggest to use LAN as u don't need to install drivers in LAN.
USB driveers are hard to find for new OS.
Besides, if u have a problem u should have created a new thread.

Windows 7 is the best. As it starts faster, consumes less memory as compared to windows vista and supports more than 95 % software and games.
