Windows XP Service Pack 3 [customized/optimized/modded]. In my opinion, if not for the software support then Ubuntu [GNOME/KDE] is way better than Windows 7.

I am not getting the 95/98/2000/XP [classic] feeling from Windows 7.

    • Windows 7 has tons and tons of applications/tools for various purposes which I have no use for or prefer 3rd party alternatives. And there is no way to get rid of them unlike in Windows XP.
    • I only need 5 GB for the whole XP [customized/nLited] partition, but 15 GB or more for Windows 7.
    • Windows 7 interface is like a labyrinth in my opinion.
The only good thing I found in Windows 7 is it's memory [RAM] handling. They should have added an option to install only the tools/feature the user need, like in Office 2003 installation.
