Windows not detecting my headfone Hi all, Since i have installed Windows 7 RC my copmuter is not detecting my headfone. I face a lot off problems because of these. Initially when i use to have xp that time their was no issues. After installing this new os i have this problem. My head fone is running fine when it is connected to other computers. What to do is it a hardware issue inside my cpu or any software related problem? I looked in to my control panel its so complicated dont know how to fix it.

check ur port of audio.if u have any more speakers then check by plugging them in ur audio port.
also see that thee sound is not muted.
and who says W7 has complicated Control Panel.

Yes i have 5.1 connected to my CPU in the backside. I always connect headfone in the front port. Is that what you trying to say.
Could u please explain me what to do step by step. Please.....

Yes my 5.1 runs fine. And you are absolutely right the front ports are dead. When connected behind it headfone is working. Their was one insident when pulled out my cpu suddently the scrren turned blue with all written in code language heading was scan disk error and then it restarted now working fine. Heartattack almost gave me.

Front Port is not working, how to fix it? Is it possible to open the cabinet and check for any loose connection. Or i am suppose to change it. How much would it cost if changed?
opening the cabinet is easy.just open the screw opposite to the fan side and u can explore in.
check for loose connections.if u are not that confident that call any expert.i think the new one would be less than 1K.
1K you kidding i bought the entire Cabinet for 1.3K +700Rs for SMPS.
