    Default Burning 7.72GB data?

I have a setup of a PC game of about 7.72GB.Can I burn this onto a normal DVD of capacity 4.7GB?If not, what are the other ways of saving these files as my computer doesn't have blu-ray support?

You can purchase one 8.5 GB Double Layer DVD which will enable you to burn all your data in one disk.

yeah 8.5GB DVD will do it.

also in future or even now there are some games that are more than 14GB!Example GTA4.

for that either purchase two 8.5GB DVDs or purchase 16GB DVD.Also there are 30GB DVDs in the markets.

No. A single layer DVD 4.7 GB DVD cannot fit more that the capacity. That should be pretty obvious.

    Do as deepmohan said.

8 GB and 16 GB are becoming fairly common these days. The max that I have seen (in a store) is 64 GB. But 128 GB / 256 GB may be round the corner.

They are basically a little thicker (fatter) but still way compact than external HDD's.

Oh! The cost will come down eventually. I remember purchasing a 256 MB SD Card for my camera for £49.99, a year later a 4 GB pen drive for $49.99 and recently (a year ago) a 2 GB pen drive for Rs. 400.

    128GB Pendrives are $369 xD

Maybe they will fall to such levels where we can actually buy them in a few years....

Use some utility like winrar to split the setup file(folder) into 2 parts of say, 4GB each.... Then burn into two single layer DVDs........ When you want to extract at a later time, copy both the parts into system and extract using the same application......

Dual layer DVDs are still much costly for anyone's liking at the moment.......

The thread starter wants to create a setup DVD for a game.

Hence WinRAR splitting technique will not be suitable.

Well, I just suggested a method for backing up his game dvd.....
He can always install or run the game using an iso image mounted.........

So you are suggesting him to backup game on pendrive leave it, so pendrive will further will not be used?
Pendrive will more be used as transfer device rather than storing device,
In dvd you can store game permanently.

Thread starters requirement is to backup his games setup permanently which is of 7 GBs, you are suggesting his for pen drive so he will have to go for 8 GB pen drive which will cost his Rs. 800 to 900 /- and a 8.5 GB Double Layer DVD will come for Rs. 100/-.

Who want pen drive for using only once? You want to use it often, isn't you?
For backing up game permanently DVD is right choice. And who said pen drive is safest, you can lost it, virus & tronjans came from pen drive. So how is it safest option?
