Which is the best anti-virus software acc. to you overall on basis of security,loading speed and effectiveness?I use Avast and is working fine but eats more memory.

I used Quick Heal Total Security & I think it is best!
Nowadays I use Avira Antivir & It is good too, no virus or trojan at all.
Quick Heal is paid & Avira is free, so choice is yours.

i am using avast! for more than a year now never felt a need for anything else.

Avast is good, but it cannot detected virus on my comp which Quick Heal & Avira detected.

Use Microsoft security essential. It uses less resources.

i like kaspersky and bitdefender only

Kaspersky is worst AV, if virus goes in system folder, Kaspersky AV deletes that file, eventually your system crashes, I had bad experience with it.

How is ESET Nod32?

Really its so confusing when it comes to Antivirus. I had gone to net found that Authors say Bitdefender is No1 but at the same time when you se customers review they say it's worst.

I have seen people mostly using 3 Antivirus
-Avast
-Kaspersky
-ESET Nod32

I am using avast free for last 1 year. It's good but when it comes to scanning it takes a long long time.

I am now looking for a change. Guys please suggest!!

for me, Kaspersky is THE BEST!!!!!
Kaspersky doesn't delete suspicious objects.just select the "Do not Delete Suspicious Objects" opition in the Settings.

in paid AVs Kaspersky,Bitdefender and Eset are the Best.
In free Avast and Avira are the topers.

Avast 5 gives great performance and has great detection rate.
The Old Boring Stereo Skin has has been changed like a Professional antivirus in Free antivirus too.

I'am making a move to ESET cause my avast makes my system slow and takes a lot of time for scanning. Just thinking weather to go for Smart Security of Nod32 Anti-virus.

ESET Smart Security is a good choice for net security but why to spend money on paid when there are free ones.

I have been using avast for the past two days and pretty impresses with the new appearance.........
The last time I used it, the skin was just boring and no good...
Now it looks more pro and I'm planning to continue with it.............

When is avast realising its latest version. Ok then till that i'll try Avira

I've been using avg for 2 years now and feel its very good anti virus
people often underestimate avg

I think best one is avira (free edition ie. personal edition is there if you like) antivirus. i've used Norton (slower), avast (not much virus definition), avg (good). but avira still makes happy to find virus and updated usually. very good one. (kaspersky-effected virus on that itself,) (am usually upadting..kk)

How much is it recommended to use 2 AV's simultaneously in a system, dont it have any adverse effects.?

avast 5 is MS Certified. It can be used along with MSE. Microsoft Security Essentials. You can also confirm same using Avast5 Forums.

Avast and Spybot + windows Firewall is my personal favorite for security and using it since i got my PC 5 years back. And no issues so far. Also tried Node32 which is too good however lacks boot time scan.

MSE - is also too good and hardly consumes 5MB of RAM.

So since from the day i got vista (2 years back) and not on windows 7 64 bit , Avast 5 + MSE + Spybot + WIndows FireWall = Best Home Security.

AV depends on your PC config as well.....

Please Dont go for Free ...might not be effective

NORTON 360 3.0 is the best as it has PC tune up as well ..
But it is expensive and uses a lot of ram

Post ur pc config and ill check which is d best

i hope no one will like to go for norton.
