Thread: Problem While Shutting Down Windows XP

hi,
when ever i shutdown my pc an error pops up the title is as follows "end program WMS idle"
now i googled this problem and found that it's because of nero 7
the solution i found was uninstalling nero 7
but what i want to know is can this problem be solved without uninstalling nero7
if not suggest some good software to replace nero7

Have you tried to install the patch listed on the page?

i downloaded and made it run and got some error
"verify that the program that needs to be upgraded exists on ur computer"

Hi, This is for people who have NERO.
Here's what you do to solve this problem.

Click Start--> Programs --> Nero(v7, v7 essentials, v8 ) --> Tools --> Nero Scout.

This opens Nero Scout Options window.
On the left hand column, click Indexing --> Folders.
Then at the bottom click Clear All.
Then click Apply.
At the top left hand corner of the window uncheck the box where it says Unable Nero Scout.
Then click Apply.
Then click OK.

This will solve the WMS Idle not responding which appears everytime when shutting down.
