    Default Protect Your pendrive In windows XP

    Hi Folks,
    If all of you are just fed-up with the viruses and stuff and if you dont want your data get corrupted here is the littile trick which you can use in Windows Xp.
    Write Protect your USB/Pen Drive
    Here are the steps..
    1. Open Run Window (press [Windows] Key+R Key)
    2. Type "regedit" (Remove ")
    3. Now here are the Important steps (BE CAREFUL)
    Click On Copmuter ICON...>Click On HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE....>CLICK ON SYSTEM.....>Click on CURRENT CONTROL SET.....>Now Right Click On Control
    Now go to new and selct Key option and Rename it as "StorageDevicePolicies"
    4. Now Right Click on the Blank area in window you are looking and select DWORD value and name it "write protect".
    5. Double Click it on and set the value to "1"

    That's It.....You are done!!!!

    P.S. This trick is to modify the data in System Regestry so I will Recommand to backup Registry Before doing it....
