Microsoft has reported that Windows7 is the fastest selling operating system in history. Microsoft claims to have already sold 60 million copies of windows 7.
Though there are upgrade and many other problems with windows 7 released in october is declared an official success with people and media all praises for it. Most users are waiting for it sevice pack 1 to fix all bugs

Infact many claim it to be the next XP. Microsoft has hit a record revenue of 19 billion dollars in just 3 months ending December which is 14% percent higher than 2008, Microsoft attributed most of this revenue to the success of windows 7.

Comparatively windows vista took almost 4 months to sell 40 million copies. Windows 7 according to users is user friendly and faster. Considering the fact that 9 in every 10 operating system is pirated windows 7 definitely is a success.

It undoubtedly a good operating system. If you are upgrading from XP, it is a real drive. I never tried Vista so for me Windows 7 has that extra bone.

Vista was a pre-alpha of windows 7 for which people paid & microsoft thug them.

well said , vista was really sad OS , MS overlooked performance in case of vista & just focused mainly on GUI changes

yes you are right Windows 7 is the fastest selling Operating System of all time. It looks like Microsoft is back on track after Windows Vista failure. Not just Windows 7 break several records but also it gained the lost reputation of Microsoft.

For additional knowledge Windows 7 is the fastest selling product on Amazon and eBay replacing the previous best which was "Harry Potter and Deathly Hollows"
