    Default Windows 7 RC Expiration

    Windows 7 RC Expiration

Starting this February 15 systems running on windows 7 RC will expire and a message will be visible above the task bar by 1st March the windows 7 RC will shutdown every two hours and by 1st June the the wallpaper will be replaced and a message will be displayed stating "This copy of Windows is not genuine" and no further updates will be available, the Microsoft applications too wont work properly.

As per Microsoft this situation may lead to data loss too and ask users to upgrade to the released version of windows 7 or downgrade to the older version of windows they had.

Users who have installed the windows 7 RC on their older version will be in trouble as they will have to revert back or will have to upgrade to avert any loss.
