In response to the customer complaint, Microsoft’s Windows head stated that the Windows 7 does not ruin the batteries neither will it issue premature warnings regarding battery power exhaustion. But the users within minute accused this of hand washing from Microsoft’s side. But according to Microsoft it is doing what it should do. There is no doubt that Microsoft has taken the issue seriously. The warning is correct when it says battery is failing, it is indeed failing said Microsoft in its blog.
But many users has reported that the battery life has indeed been reduced after they upgraded to Windows 7. Microsoft claimed that is impossible for it to harm battery because of the way in which it interacts with the hardware. According to battery manufacturers, the OS will get the information from machine firmware. Machine firmware is responsible for monitoring battery’s capacity and operation. The referred firmware is BIOS. It boots the system and initializes the hardware components.
