Hi Guys

I purchased leagal windows 7 64-bit online for just 6800 /-
Worth buying this OS.

How many of you are using legal windows 7 ?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit is worth buying. I bought it from a retail shop for the same price.

Me too happy with the charity MS did by making the Windows Activation Technologies Update Optional.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit is cool.

I have Genuine Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit, I got it with my Laptop(Dell Inspiron 1545).....

Did you also get an installation DVD along with it or if you want to reinstall it you have to go to Dell?

naaa..did online transaction ....they gave me online invoice on which key was mentioned...used that and activated windows..so its now its geniune..and now after 2 weeks i got this DVD. 32 and 64 bit..

1... Updates..yes.
2...I get a installation CD with it as I have configured it online on the website:
Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Printers & PC Accessories | Dell .

Infact I asked those who have pirated editions if they get the updates.

Pirated editions also updates. Just be wise not to install the security patch which breaks the crack.

Yes you will get the updates just take care that you dont install the WAT's Update when it hits you Windows Updates.

Dont select the option "Install Updates Automatically"

If you have installed the WAT's update then too options are there to remove WAT and which will let you receive updates.

First of all i dont like the pirated things but i have a laptop in which i had got Vista Pre installed, and in comparison to Win 7, vista really sucks MS cheated with people who purchased Vista, so i decided not to pay for Windows 7.

Its indeed cool.

dude if you dont accept that particular update , your windows is geniune so far..but the future geniune updates wont be seen in updates list for such users....

win7 is cool..u can get free upgrade from vista to win7. contact your lappy vendor and check it

Nopes i cant because i dint purchase it in the time frame for which the free upgrade was available.

You are wrong mate WATU is fully optional, voluntary and the customer will decide whether he wants to install it or not no matter he/she is using a genuine or cracked one.

If a genuine user stops receiving updates after opting himself out of WATU then there can be another law·suit against MS for the same.

i guess WATU = Windows Any Time Upgrade...i guess this is related to upgradation from previous os to latest and not to updates of latest OS. I am not sure about it.

Last time Microsoft disguised it as a important security update and met a law suit which is still to be settled. This time the was advance warning that such a patch is coming.

I meant Windows Activation Technologies Update which is only for Windows 7.
