How to recover unsaved Word document in Microsoft Office 2007 One of my friends modified an existing word document on 13-03-2010. However, he forgot to save it. Now, all his modifications are gone. When we open the file, it displays the original content. Is there a was to recover the modified file?
Operating System is Windows Vista.

It is extremely difficult (almost impossible) and the effort required to extract the changes will be much more than doing the changes again. It happened to me couple of times.
I have not turned on 'Autosave'. It usually defaults to 10 inutes but can be configured.
