I do not think so. But I do not know how now. Since you are experienced you have some idea about internet connection sharing. Kindly let me know if it kicks any idea. ICS through wifi G router.

I think it is not possibe... just like it was not possible to share dialup with wifi... anything which is not always on could be a problem to share with wifi.. but i could be wrong.

Yes . It is possible. but doubt in wifi mode.
Usually two Nic cards are used in Host computer 1 which is connected to Internet.
The other computer No2 gets connected to No 1
    computer's NIC No 2,
    Cross over cable rj45 ( Not straight Rj45 ).

Gives an interesting option now. NOT TRIED.
Internet accessed with USB card. ( Photon )
The ethernet card can be tried as above..

I have a Tata photon+ and i share it to my 10 office pc from my laptop .

All network wires connected through switch .

In the system where photon is connected go to network places --- Select photon --right click -- properties ---than sharing tab

check all check boxes and from drop down select Local area network .

An ip like 192.168.137.1 will be allocated to your adaptor .

Now all other system should put adaptor at obtain automatically .

Redial the tata photon connection after disconnecting once .

And see it will be shared .

    You can share internet connection.
No need to connect laptops through lan cable
One laptop with usb modem is configured as Windows Internet Connection Sharing Host(ICS Host) and another one as a wireless client and you can share the internet between your laptops.

you can get the original text from the following link - i've reproduced it here just in case the original link disappears. Credit goes to Ishan at:
ilovefreesoftware dot com (sorry wont let me paste the URL)

The simple trick is to convert the wifi of your PC into a Wifi modem that can broadcast your internet connection to multiple computers. So, if there is any other computer close to your computer, it can connect to your internet connection (with your permission).

There are many software that do this. My two personal favorite are: Connectify, and Maryfi.

Both of these software are free. Once you install these, you can share you can convert your computer into a Wifi hotspot. Any other computer will see your internet connection as a normal wireless internet. You will be able to provide a password also for your internet connection, so that only those who are authorized can connect to your internet connection.

So, if you install any of these free software on your computer, you can share your Tata Photon connection with multiple computers simultaneously. It will decrease the performance of Tata Photon, but nevertheless, you’ll be able to at least browse internet on multiple PCs together.

I think you can do that without using a LAN cable as well.
    1. The laptop which connects to the internet directly :
a). Go to Run > Type cmd
b). Type ipconfig /all and note down the ip address.

2.Connect both computers using Adhoc Network/use a LAN cable. Check their connectivity using ping command.

    3. The laptop which acts as client(needs internet access):
a). Assign it a static ip of the same subnet as the server.
For example: Server ip : 192.168.1.2 Client ip : 192.168.1.x
where x can be any number from 3 to 254
b). Assign the ip of the server as the Gateway of the client. ie 192.168.1.2

    4. Install the Software Analog X on the Server laptop. Check its read me file for any default configuration.

    5. Client laptop:
Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Connections > LAN settings
    6. Select Use a proxy server for your LAN . Give the ip address of the server laptop. Fill the port address carefully as mentioned in Analog X read me file.
    7. Click OK. Restart Internet Explorer

Try using ping command at intermediate stages to check whether the connectivity is still there.
    Hope that helps

I've tried a software namely 'Connectify Me'. I used photon+ and it made my lappy a wifi hotspot. Therefore i was able to use two laptops with 1 photon connection. I hope it helps. :|

I did not read all the long replies in this thread, but I would recommend you to use "Connectify" software.

I have been using it since a year and it works really great.

If you have a laptop, you can turn it into wireless router with that software + usb tata photon. (tested and implemented)
