Thread: Wifi / Wireless network found --- HELP

Hello Friends,

In the new office where i recently joined I can find network of surrounding offices, some 3-4. OUt of that one is unsecured, and I can connect to it but I cannot surf net.

Another one is secured one but one day just for the heck of fun, i tried using the network key as the SSID no, i.e the name of that company and it got connected but still I am not able to surf internet.
Can someone tell me what can I do if I am able to connect to wireless networks, can I view information of other PCs or view their printers, etc, do advise me because somehow I just got connected to the secured wireless network of my neighbouring office and it will take time for us to establish our own telephone, broadband lines.

Yes it is possible.
They may be using a sever in their office that first requires login just the same way as used in colleges. If that is the reason then you first requires a ID and password for it. But without that you can only able to see the computers connected in the network places.

What you are doing or trying to do is called stealing and you could go to jail for that... It might sound funny to you at the moment but it is very easy to track down on such crimes if some one wanted to.
