It is obvious that windows 7 is the best in everything. XP cannot beat 7 even in a single thing.

It is true to a certain extent. But XP dos beat windows 7 in certain categories. Microsoft Windows 7 (Home Premium) Window reviews - CNET Reviews. Look for the para on performance in that article.
Rest assured, I do believe that Windows 7 is the best windows os till now.

Even if I wanted , I cannot Install Windows 7
without spending another Rs 30,000 or so to fulfil the system requirements of Windows 7.
Two laptops Old Sony FX 215 working
    Dell Inspiron 8000 working
And no need for me as for the kind of usage, as a layman , I do, XP pro Sp3 is quite satisfactory.
    Windows 8 ( due 2012) will beat windows 7
    Windows 7 beats Vista
    Vista beats XP
    Xp beats windows 98
    Win 98 beats win 95
etc........ till DOS 1?!!!!!! I used DOS 4 first
with a 20MB harddisk and experienced the earliest virus "eddie " from an external floppy disk! An I.I.T Chennai student wrote the first virus program on the spot and cleaned it !

All the time , same problem about driver/s compatability/security updates etc , and MS is richer with each new version !
