Lightbulb My Small Guide to Speed up and save your computer.

We use our computer daily for some reason, a day fully on the web and a day watching movies hearing songs etc and lots more is done using our computer...
User use to go through some adds and some download while they browse the internet and they use to download smiles and glossy cursors etc and finally they end up by downloading a virus or a spyware...

Never use any Toolbar or any addon unless you get it from a trusty site or a well known Toolbar like google toolbar etc..
Some toolbar contains spyware and some may reduce the performance of your browsing...

    Repair disk errors:
Run the Error Checking utility to check the integrity of the files stored on your hard disk. By using the Error Checking utility you will be able to scan the hard drive and find out if certain files or folders are misplaced.
With this option you can check is their any disk errors in the drive and windows can automatically fix the errors and can attempt to recover files from bad sectors...

    Remove Auto start Programs:
First, you need to find out if there are any unnecessary programs that start automatically when the windows boots up. Many programs simply run in the background without your knowledge because they remain completely hidden and they wont show up any icon or splash screen on start up... Some others show an icon on your taskbar to let you know they are in operation. These programs uses your Ram memory and gives you a bad performance.
To remove the Auto start up Programs follow as i do...
Click Start then click Run and type Msconfig, and press OK
The system configuration dialogue box will open and now click Start up and you will find some programs listed in the Start up, Un-check the box which you dont want it to Run on the system start up...
Click apply and click ok, it will ask for a Reboot its your choice to select Reboot now or Later...

Note: Dont de-select any Microsoft programs or you anti virus, them you face some malfunction in some Window operations...

    Repair the registry:
This is the most important step you can take at your own risk. The Windows registry stores all the configurations and settings of your system and the installed applications. but sometimes when an software is installed when its not correctly removed using the windows un-install process the Register Key for the software stays in the reg key and when they install the same Other version of the same software the key becomes corrupted,.
To fix this problem, you must enter into windows register by typing regedit in Run

All the register key of your installed software and application will be inside the Software tree, expand software and you can see the installed application and software

Delete the wrong entries that cause problems to your pc or if their is any problem in installing any software. Don't try to do it yourself, because it can lead to a crash down your system. If you know you can do it...
The best way to do is to find the best Register cleaning software from the web and use it to clean the corrupted key...
Virus use to corrupt the Reg key and make your system unstable, the best cure for is to restore the backup of your windows copy, which was taken before the virus tampered your register key....

Thanks for going through my Post Guys...

Use CCleaner. Take a back up of the registry and then fix the errors.
