Those who are still Windows xp and who are in need of a light side bar, GOOGLE DESKTOP is the app for you..



Does your windows side bar takes 20mb or + from your ram, this small app does the same work as equal to the windows sidebar does and it takes maximum 7mb.
guess what the setup file is just 2mb in size..

Appearance:
The sidebar looks as similar to the windows vista sidebar but GADGETS are arranged in way that it can hold max GADGETS in a row than the WINDOWS sidebar does




Adding GADGETS:
This is the main part why we are choosing for the best sidebar.
Just a click on the top and a small Java based window opened which show bunch and bunch of GADGETS to select and they are added in just one click.
For windows vista or 7, you have to go to their website and then search for the best and then download it in your drive and then install it..



Desktop Search:
Who are stuck with the default window search, this google Desktop also give you a new feature called Google Desktop Search..
Want to run and exe file or open any documents which you know the file name, just tap the alt button twice and a search bar comes from no where and type the exe file name and you are listed with search within few sec as you take your eye from the last letter the search will be done..
It even does web search too..



This is the best sidebar i have ever used in my PC..
so well finished and clean and clear and has support to web based gadgets too..

I use to have till the last time I formatted my system. An excellent tool. Actually I got attracted by the desktop gadgets in Windows 7 and tried to find a similar one in XP. Thanks for sharing.
