    Unhappy Image resize problem

    Hi, please help me,
i want to resize an image to a smaller one.
I tried MS Paint but only image was resized. When i save the work there is some white space which is not removed from there. I only need that image. Is there any other way, not photoshop?

    Try Photofiltre

    PhotoFiltre - Download

Just open the image and right click. You will find an option to resize image. It is like a better paint. Thanks to Panchabhut.

    Default Resizing a picture

Microsoft offers a simple solution in something called "Microsoft Powertoys for XP". Google this and in the page that shows up, see on the right side in the light blue column under "Download" with various applications. Scroll down until you see "ImageResizer.exe". It is a very small application. Download & install it. Now whenever you right click on a picture you will have an option called "Resize Pictures" in the drop down menu that appears. Click on this and you will have some choices as to the sizes available.

Sorry, I am not allowed to post the URL as I am a new member and have very few posts to my credit.

I use MS Office Picture Manager to resize images.

    @ Just4kix

Try Photofiltre. You will never go back to paint

It has a few add ons too like Firefox. Each one adds a new feature.

I seriously recommend that you download an application like Gimp for all your image editing needs. It's very similar to Photoshop but you can get it for free. I think it's even got a few neat features that you won't find in Photoshop or any other image editor. I don't recommend MS Paint for any image editing as it's not easy to get professional results.

I think you can do it in MS Paint itself. The white space must be present before re-sizing the image. So, you have to remove it first by proper cropping. One it is done, you can resize the image and there will be no white spaces in the final output.

I think through Paintbrush we can do almost all basic image editing works. But for advanced image editing experience you need to depend on something like Photoshop.
