Couldn't get you. IDM resume in the IDM window itself. There is no question of resuming in IE or Firefox. Are you talking about IDM not catching downloads from Firefox ?

If so try IDM > Options > Add browser. By this way you can enable " Advanced Browser Integration ".

Links from file sharing sites like Rapidshare and similar won't resume. For them you need to use either premium links or start from the beginning.

Because sites like media fire do not support " resume ". You need a premium account for a resumable link. When you click resume the next day, it tries to catch the URL to resume. Normally it fails and you won't be able to resume.

Which is your default browser ? I think it is IE. That is why it is opening in IE. Change your default browser to Firefox and you will have it Firefox.

    No problem.

Firefox > Tools > Options > Advanced > System default > Always check to see.... > Check now

It will ask if you want to change the default browser to Firefox. Say yes.
