    Default Screen shot editor

I am preparing a modem tutorial. I have screen shots of modem. The problem is, I need to give instructions in screen shot. Like " Click here ", " type here " etc. Can anybody suggest a good tool for this purpose. I want pre built task like arrows, text box etc. Thanks in advance.

In my guides and articles, I used plain old MS-Paint to do the job.

there are many editors today.. so just have the snapshot on the editor and use text field to enter your values...
usually most editors give you options of pointers and lines as well, its always good to use them..

Irfan view is easy to use in images, you can type text easily on to the image, it has arrow tools to draw different kinds and shapes of arrows and its free also.

Photoshop, but that would be like, killing a fly with bazooka . Try Irfanview, all in one and lightweight application.
