Thread: Old mails are not appearing in Thunderbird

My operating system is Windows XP. Recently I installed Thunderbird (latest version) by uninstalling old version. In the new thunderbird the mails that were there before installation are not appearing. Let me know how to import those mails from file "Application Data/Thunderbird/Profiles" I have only one profile folder in Application Data/Thunderbird.

I feel the old email folders are still intact.
See in Program files/Thunderbird
any old email folders archived. Check date.

While uninstalling the older version did you opt for deleting the mails also? if yes, then it may not be possible to retrive them.

If email folders were deleted :
download RECUVA application from filehippo.com
and try to recover deleted files.

I downloaded RECUVA application and recovered the old mails.
I have saved them in a separate folder for future reference.
