    I wonder how to block a particular website in windows 7.

    Please explain me step by step

    Thank You for ur quick response.

    But I need to block the site in all the browsers.

    Please explain me how to block the website using lmhost in c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc.

    Coz i tried everything but i couldn't figure out the way

    Open the host file, write the block entry for a particular website, save. Google " how to block using host file "

    create System Restore Point.

    Is ther a way to block sites by words contained in URL without any thirdparty software.

    For example in the hosts file at the end of line i added

    127.0.0.1 google.com
    127.0.0.1 Google

    This only blocks the homepage but
    images.google.com can be opened. How to block URLs containing "google" in one go.
