If you are using Bridge mode

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...tml#post154907 (NU Configuration)

If in PPPoE, use the scheduler I gave or try Imran's Broadband Helper utility.

In the bridge mode method, since dialer is not connected, your net connection won't be active. In Imran's there is an option to disable the NIC card.

    Talking

actually, i dont use a scheduler, but a software i use "free download manager" has a scheduler inbuilt.
you may use it to shut down, hang up a connection, or run an application, or close an application, etc.

best part is that it is free.

I Use IDM.It Too Has All The Above Options.

Does FDM Has The Option To Disable The Connection?

I See Imran's Utility Has The Option To Disable The Connection At A Particular Time. But I Don't Think It Wakes Up From Hibernation To Download. So there must be a script to disable connection at a schedules time separately right?

    Thumbs up

using IDM (as mentioned in above post) or FDM (which i use), u can leave the computer idle, and dial / start a connection. then u can disable / disconnect that connection using same scheduler function.

for DSL / cable modems, u must have it configured so that u use a dialer / connection (from network connections). if u have a direct and always on connection, then u need to make it a manual connection.

alternately, uTorrent also has a scheduler for scheduling downloads, however i think this is not what is being asked for.

I don't think that windows allows "wake up from sleep" from a third party application, though some such functionality may be available that i do not know of.

Thanks for your reply.I Download Just Torrents So The Scheduler In IDM Is Not Of Much Help To Me.
And Btw This Utility Actually Wakes From Hibernation To Perform The Tasks
