Default Jdownloader : How to reboot modem using Jdownloader

I am using Jdownloader 0.9.581. With some trial and error, I got the feel of the software and started using it. It is such a nice tool to use. But I am facing a problem with changing the IP. I am using AR800V v3.0 wifi modem from BSNL. In order to use more than one system at a time, I use PPPoE. Can anybody tell me how to configure it in Jdownloader ? Thanks.

Hope you want to reboot the modem just to change the dynamic IP. Right ?

IIRC, You cannot reboot the modem using JDownloader. Maybe someone might have invented an addon.

Thanks. But I found the option under " settings " tab. Successfully changed the IP. Any alternative to Jdownloader which is as good as it ? I find the GUI not so user friendly as IDM.

    What is IIRC ?

Under which section of Settings did you find the option to reboot the modem ?

I would say Jdownloader is the best although the interface is a little lousy. If you have found any better alternatives please let post here.

    Version: JDownloader 0.9.581

Settings > Reconnection > Live header / Curl > Create Reconnection script > Input router IP as 192.168.1.1 > Go ahead , log in to the modem , click " Reconnect " in your modem settings > All these will be recorded, a pop up window will appear, Click " Yes "

You have successfully set up recording configuration script for your modem. You can anytime click " Change IP " and your IP will be renewed automatically for your modem in PPPoE mode.

Me too looking for a good alternative for JDownloader just because of their under developed UI. Try Cryptload or Mipony. Do share your experience. Hope this helped.

If in doubt, feel free to ask.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have tried Mipony but felt JDownloader was more feature rich.

    Welcome

May be you can try Cryptload. It is as good as JDownloader (from what I heard). There are a lot of such softwares, but most of them offer nothing more than JDownloader can give or at times they are not as good as JDownloader. I suggested a bug fix which their server admin promised to accommodate in the next plug in update. It was giving some error when downloading a que.
