Thread: problem with installation of samsung kies

Dear fellow forum members ! good evening . i bought a samsung galaxy GT i9003 smartphone with android OS. when i tried installation of Samsung kies software on windows xp sp3 bundled with phone , it threw a error and didn't initialises. error is as follows :fatal error provide value on system. windows Baml2006.Type converter mark up extension threw an exception. version info :1.5.3-10124.. Please Essbebe and Meetdilip clarify whether it is a my machine fault or there is a corrupt file in the cd. Moreover i installed latest version of kies from samsung official website but it also resulted in same outcome. please help me overcoming this problem . thanks n regards.

Try starting it in compatibility mode
See the software requirements (eg-Java,.Net etc.)

check your version.

You will get errror messages. for any software you install in computer with Windows OS. If not compatible, or cannot be installed, you get error messages.

You could have replied what is the version you have in the CD.
Anyway, as you know how to search in Google, please try to get the solution .

Dear Essbebe ! bundle of thanks for your concern. But i had downloaded different versions specified by you. they did got installed but kies software didn't initialises. IMO this is windows configuration problem as everytime the same error appears when i tried different version of Kies software. I very well know you are computer genius and you are a seafull of information regarding technology. I am a layman in terms of computer terminology as i am a medic. please help me as i want to update my smartphone. thanks n regards.
