There are lots of video converters available...You can get get your hands on any of 'em.
If you want conversion to a specific format or something special Plz mention.
You can use handbrake, which is an expert software to convert almost every file format to mp4/mkv...
HandBrake
what could be the reason that flv files don't run smoothely ???
as i don't want to waste time and space by converting..
Which Os? what player? what decoder?
Ummm...There's some factors...
Use VLC and say if the problem persists.
yes VLC usually plays better with all formats.. check out your codecs..
donwload k lite codec pack and use vlc.. no problems will occur....
In VLC you can play FLV format video but you cant forward or rewind FLV file!!
So go for converter! Converter FLV to any other format.
Strange. VLC should work. Uninstall your current player and install new version of VLC and check. Use Revo uninstaller and remove all traces.
If nothing works, try KM Player.
I am using VLC 1.0.1 Version and unable to forward or rewind FLV video!!
May be newest VLC version play!!
newest is vlc 1.1.9 so you are lagging![]()
yes it does buffer a little, but not like cant do at all thats wrong..
one more bug which i found is that when you play a sound file on it, and than you play a vlc the music will go on, but without video(black screen-blank)
i am also late by 5 versions so currently downloading...![]()

Site from home gaya bhad mein... AIrtel se bolo FUP band kare.. BSNl se bolo 3G signal do!!!!>: (
Recently update VLC 1.1.9 same problem there to!!
Every time i forward video VLC close the video!!
yes but possibly i think he should install all codecs to play well...
download the latest vlc my friend..
ok when you install a new vlc. the new installer asks you to uninstall the previous version(i am doing now).. so once its asks you to uninstall, there comes an option delete previous version>tick it> and below it delete previous preferences and cache>tick it>>(as dilip said)

FLV is Flash Video. Adobe Flash should play these files seamlessly (unless these are damaged).
Check this guide and try it out

i use this program - Flash to Video Encoder PRO (geovid.com). I have a lot of files to converting and Flash to Video Encoder PRO is very helpful for me...
If you are looking for a converter, Format factory will be a good choice. It is free, efficient and user friendly.
Through extensive search I have found this one most easy and useful
Try
