    Default Need a good firewall

    i have kaspersky 2011 but i need firewall that will show the list of programs that are currently using internet bandwidth. (mozzila,chrome)

    i really need to know this because i am on limited plan and i need to know which programs uses internet most

    The best firewall is Comodo, and its free. There are two others called Outpost and Kerio, but they are paid ones.

    Comodo will show you which programs are using the internet connection, but I doubt any app can tell you how much each browser actually downloaded during a particular time period.

    You need Dataone usage finder to find out your usage stats. Apart from that, regarding which program uses internet the most, if you open yahoo mail in Firefox and open youtube videos in Chrome, obviously it is Chrome that will be using more bandwidth.

    The Defense+ part is difficult to understand, but then you can just click accept every time it pops up a warning as long as you are using a legitimate app. If you have downloaded a cracked version, you click no every time it makes requests. I don't know much, but I know when something tries to install a global hook, that's bad.

    Is there any actual software that calculates the data transfer of individual apps?
