    Default Recommend Internet Connection Booster

Some time back my internet connection had become really unstable, and Essbebe had recommended using TrackZapper Connection Booster and that had solved the problem. I recently formatted and reinstalled Windows, and when I tried to download TrackZapper, Nod32 blocked the site itself, saying it is a security risk. I googled it and found that it is malware, and bundles other malicious softwares along with its products.

I'd like to know if there are other connection booster that you people have used and would recommend.

    Thanks.

Thanks a lot Essbebe for replying! I tried out the tcp/ip optimizer.

    Speed before installing it: 2500 kbps (313 kB/s) download, 203 kbps (25.4 kB/s) upload
    Speed after installing it: 2964 kbps (371 kB/s) download, 202 kbps (25.3 kB/s) upload

The problem I am facing is I think with the internet connection from BSNL itself. What happens is that the connection keeps breaking too many times, but more importantly, most of the time the Link light is on, indicating it is connected, but there is no data transfer at all, on all sites, even while pinging yahoo or another site, and if I click the network icon at the bottom near the clock, instead of the dialog box disconnecting and disappearing immediately like it should, it stops responding for five to ten seconds and then disappears. Then even if I try reconnecting, it doesn't connect, and I have to restart the modem manually, after which this problem repeats itself. Sometimes the Link light isn't on, but the Lan and USB light keep blinking.

Earlier, the TrackZapper program you had recommended had got rid of the frequent disconnects, though I wasn't facing such an unstable connection then. I'll have to call the BSNL guy.

    Thanks again.
