    Default windows genuine window

    whenever my pc starts the update for windows genuine apperars however i have not installed that notification .what can i do to stop running it. should i turn off my automatic update option??

    you meant to say "windows not genuine" notification every time you logon?turning off automatic updates is a bad idea as it left your pc vulnerable to exploits & anyway microsoft provides critical security updates even to non-genuine window users.if you indeed are using non-genuine windows buy a genuine one & show your support for efforts against software piracy.

    If in Windows 7, you can hide the particular update. Right click and you can see the option to hide it. Set Windows update settings to " ask ". By that way, it will install only those updates which you approve.

    Try this application to get rid of WGA notification.


    (B)
    Automatic updates can be disabled as explained in this thread.

    (C)
    For XP SP2 upgrade with SP3.
    Support discontinued wef July 2010 ( recheck )
