Thread: Sharing Windows 7 Computers

Hey everyone!
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit SP 1 on my Laptop and 32 Bit Ultimate SP1 on my Desktop.
The problem is i want to Share all my Desktop Contents on Desktop and Laptop contents on Desktop.
Tried Homegroup,i failed in that!!
I use Ethernet for my Desktop and Wifi for Laptop via one Modem.
Please help me,how could i share my Contents on Each other?

What is the problem in homegroup setup ?

did you enter the same key on both systems ?

Homegroup is useless it doesn't helps me!

The easiest way would be to creat a local area network (lan) using a router or hub, plug both computers into the hub using cat5 cable (ethernet cable). Then you share all the drives on your laptop by right clicking and choosing share (go through all the security stuff and click ok). Then you go to network places on your desktop and choose show workgroup computers, all the drives from your laptop will appear. Click and drag the files you want to the appropriate drive on your desktop.
