Thread: Software Installation Problem

Dear All,

I have XP SP3 in desktop and Win 7 in laptop and using avast anti virus in both. Downloaded software from fallowing link from

In both computer this software downloaded separately.

Just in the middle part of the installation it gives message that Auto run inf is missing or corrupt.

This message comes in both computer.

Please do help to install the same.

This software from Microsoft is about investment records.

I need offline investment record software or data management software which records all my data of FD, NSC, KVP....... for all my family members and generate specific report on demand.

I have panda vaccine on both computer from fallowing link.

Uninstalled this software in both computers and tried to install said Microsoft software in both but even after that the same message appears that auto run inf is missing or corrupt.

Please do the needful.

Try Ccleaner, clean registry and check. If still having the issue, use Revo uninstaller, remove all traces of Panda tool and check.

Widows7 is not compatible on every computers. you just check your configuration then apply all such installations/.

Nothing worked, problem still persisting.

Any one of you have any idea regarding how to keep our investment records like bank FD, NSC, kvp, company deposits, bonds..etc for all the family members and it will generate report as per our need like FD in icici for my wife so it will give the details of only icici bank FD. if ask for all FD of my daughter then it will give all the FD from all the banks like hdfc, hsbc,....etc

such type of Off line software i need it.
No suggestion for portfolio management softwares pl.
There are many for this.
And no on line software suggestion pl.

I think it is a chat instead of check and for installation issue or for the software issue.

It seems the software you used went too deep into registry or system files. Me to use an autorun blocker which is very basic. Please be careful while choosing such tools.

as u know i am weak in your field ( IT), how to use auto run blocker and which care is to be taken as u have warned.

It seems your choice of auto run blocker was bad. If Ccleaner and Revo Uninstaller fails to remove the issue, I am afraid you will have to live with it till you reinstall Windows.
