    Default Google Chrome Not working

Respected Essbebe n MeetDilip Sir ! Good day. I hope u r enjoying best of ur life. Sir i have a problem regarding Google Chrome version 14.0.835.202. When i try to start the Chrome , windows throw an error : Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. One thing i would like to bring to ur kind notice that prior to crashing of Chrome, I ran Quick heal PC tuner to tune the PC. After that it is constantly throwing this error.I tried uninstalling and installing but the problem is same. Please help me with ur kind advice. Kind Regards.

XP or 7 ? Presume you are using admin account on Windows.

    1. Use Revo Uninstaller, remove all traces of chrome and try a reinstall.

    2. Where there any specific options regarding browser in Quick heal PC tuner ? If possible, reverse those options (most tools have a rescue center option) and try. In my opinion, TuneUp Utilities will be the best choice. You can also try a system restore to a point before your attempt with Quick Heal.

    3. Disable Quick Heal products and try.

    4. Try an older version of Chrome from Filehippo and try.

    Always Welcome

I use Avast Free + Comodo Free Firewall. Very effective combination.

    You can also use
    Kespersky with malwarebytes.
    It is best for me.

Kaspersky does not have a free version (the cost is very low though) and free version of Malwarebytes does not have real time scan. You need to manually initiate a scan once in 2-3 days to make sure you are safe. Also if a malware runs, it won't be detected as free version is not real time. Adaware is equally good and free version is very good.

I would recommend you to go with Avast! I use it because it works good, update regularly, alerts of potential viruses quick, have been around a long time with good reputation.

It doesn't. Using for around 2 years now, saved me even yesterday from an infected site. Avast at the moment is the best free antivirus.
