    Default Windows 7 Usb Data transfer Slow

    hi,

    Please any 1 suggest me how to solve the below issue i have mentioned....


    Windows 7 ultimate sp1 Usb Data transfer Slow

    In my Pc USb data transfer rate is slow .. its almost 2mb/sec... initially it was around 8mb/sec... i have updated latest driver ... some times transfer is less than 500kb/sec...

    my system configuration is ..
    Cpu : Amd phenom X4 955 3.2ghz black edition
    Mother board : Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
    Ram : 8gb (4*2 corsair Xms3)
    Hdd : 1 TB segate 7200rpm (single)
    PSU : GS600 corsair
    Graphic card : nvidia 9400gt
    Monitor : Acer 23 inch Led.
    standard key board and mouse

    please suggest me how to solve the issue

    I don't think system configuration is to do anything with the problem. It may be because of the the usb may have problem after long time use OR may be virus related problem with your system.

    You got a pretty nice config , so no problem with that .

    Have you checked with every USB ports you have . I think Gigabyte 880m have USB 3.0 port , which is pretty faster than the 2.0 port . Usually the front USB ports of the cabinets will be slower than the others .

    try copying data from softwares like teracopy or turbocopy and check if you have any luck or try connecting the usb to a different usb port on the mother board... connect the usb to the back ports and see
