I know you’re getting impatient to get your hands on Windows 10 technical preview already, but I believe a few words of caution are in order, before you do so.
The most important thing to note here is that this is a build undergoing active development, not the final stable version. That’s because the final version isn’t ready yet (and won’t be, until next year). That’s the reason it’s called a preview and as such, there will be bugs, random crashes and things like that. Apart from that, some or all of your favorite programs might not work at all with it. But that’s all to be expected.
While the Technical Preview build is freely available and can be downloaded by just about anyone, you should download it only if you are comfortable playing around with unstable alpha versions of software applications. In addition, you should always be ready to fix your computer up, in case the technical preview causes it to get messed up.
