Downloading Windows 10 Technical Preview is super simple. It is available for both 32 bit and 64 bit computers. Here’s how to get it:

Step 1: Before you can get your copy of Windows 10 Technical Preview, you need to join Microsoft’s Windows Insider Program. This is for the users who wish to indirectly be a part of the next OS’ release by providing automatic feedback, reporting bugs and things like that. To join, head over to the Windows Insider Program homepage, and hit the Join Now button.

Step 2: Once you do that, you’ll be required to sign in to your Microsoft Account. You can either use your Outlook email address, or any other email address to sign in. Once you do that, you need to agree to the terms and conditions of the Windows Insider Program. To do that, hit the I Accept button.

Step 3: That’s it! Once everything’s done, you’ll be greeted with a message notifying you of successful enrollment in the Windows Insider Program. Finally, click the link saying install Technical Preview. This will direct you to the download page, as illustrated below:

It is a beta developers' preview, it will work till Apr 2015 and stop.
We have to buy the software afterwards.

Wow beta version which can actually ruin your system with bugs, is a risk worth taking?

It is better to go with a Virtual hard disk installation to setup windows 10 in your laptop / desktop to avoid the risks. And yes, it is worth taking the risk as you get a mix of modern apps and old fashioned desktop usage in windows 10 . it does cover up the mess that was a part of windows 8 to a great extent.

it would be much better to wait till the win 10 cd get in the market..

No, it doesn't have many bugs ! I have installed on a separate hard drive, it is quite fast (both booting and shutdown) and works just like Windows 8 albeit with a Start button and refinements.
Updates are automatic, we cannot change the method through any GUI but only through modifying registry entries.
All in all a better OS than Windows 8, but it doesn't beat Win 7 !

As with my experience with windows 8, the beta phase has many bugs and most were completely fixed by windows 8.1. This included lots of system changes every week.

I guess I will wait for a few months before upgrading. I'm already used to using windows 8 at the moment
