Connection timed out problem with router

I'm trying to login to my huawei wa1003a router with LAN cable http:/192.168.1.1,wifi disabled
But could not able to connect it.It keeps on saying Connection timed out.
Why this is happening?
huawei wa1003a is my old router just want to make it a AP for better wifi in the house.

I dont understand what the problem maybe but I think reset the router but as a last resort.

Try contacting your broadband service provider and see if they can help.

Connect just one computer to the router via a wire, not wireless. This should do it. Be sure to disable the DHCP server on the router before connecting it to your network.
